Gas canister filters are used in a wide range of industrial and commercial applications to filter and purify a gas stream. The most common use for gas canister filters the filtration of nitrogen gas and air for critical pieces of equipment. The canisters are usually made of synthetic material with either metal or plastic cages or end caps. Custom-made canister filters can often include specialized end fittings that can only be purchased by the OEM at a premium price.

While these canister filters are typically single use, Carolina Filters has developed a methodical cleaning procedure which has resulted in customers successfully reusing these filters in their process several times, realizing cost savings over replacement of these expensive and often hard-to-source items.
