Cleaning Fiber Spin Beams

Cleaning Fiber Spin Beams

Spin beams used in the spinning of polyester, nylon, polypropylene, and synthetic fibers become clogged over time and will require cleaning to remove stubborn polymer buildup. Traditional high temperature burnouts of these parts are often not enough to fully remove polymer residuals, which can interfere with polymer flow, temperature control, pressure regulation, and production efficiency.  Improper cleaning of spin beams can reduce the operation time between cleanings and result in costly quality issues and downtime. When critical pathways are not fully cleared during each cleaning cycle, they can eventually solidify to the point that they can no longer be removed, and replacement is the only option.

Carolina Filters uses a combination of safe, effective depolymerization chemistries and advanced high temperature oxidation processes to remove polymer buildup and residuals which can constrict and block critical pathways.  Throughout the cleaning process, thorough borescopic inspections are performed to ensure that all residual polymer and scale are removed.
